“A small stone is a very short piece of writing that precisely captures a fully-engaged moment.”
I love this description, don’t you? I want my writing to become a river of small stones. Speaking of rivers, I don’t remember how I found them, but Fiona Robyn and Kaspalita of A River of Stones (amongst other lovely sites), are hosting a July writing challenge wherein they will be gathering the small stones written by people across the world into a blogroll with links on their A River of Stones site (for small stones and other posts) and The River (for small stones only). After picking up and examining the beauty and diversity of several small stones, I couldn’t help but want to participate in the project.
A Yarn Spun Soft is my personal blog dedicated to books, knitting, music and life and I’ve decided to create this blog for my small stones and other poetry, Random Acts of Beauty. Look for small stones to appear here in the next few days.
